Natural Horse Solutions
Camps cost $300 for the week. Off property horses will have free lot for the week. Outside horses will need to bring their own feed, hay, water buckets, feeders, and negative coggins. Lesson horses are available for lease for $50/week. Plan on bringing lunch the first day of camp to eat on property.
This camp is for the rider that has riding experience, but is still new to horsemanship. This is a five day progressive camp. Mornings are ground work focused, covering topics of gaining respect from your horse, working at liberty in the round pen, and trouble shooting handling problems. Afternoons are in the saddle. This camp is for the rider that has attended prior camps or clinics, and is designed for any discipline. This is a five day progressive camp. Mornings are ground work oriented, working with longer lines, at liberty in the round pen, and trouble shooting any issues. Afternoons are in the saddle. The focus of our riding sessions will be body control at different speeds, and riding balance at the three gaits. This camp is for riders hooked on horsemanship that want to continue to advance their skills, and is designed for any discipline. The is a five day progressive study of natural horsemanship. Mornings are ground work oriented. We work on improving your liberty communication in larger areas, teach advanced skills like ground driving, and laying down your horse. Afternoons are in the saddle. The focus of our riding sessions will be advancing your collection and lateral work. We will also improve seat balance and body communications. Upcoming Dates
This camp is for the horse and rider that is ready to compete in the Western Dressage Ring at any level. This camp is for any rider working on skill set 1-3 in the Western Dressage journey. The focus of the camp is to get both the horse and rider ready for the show ring. The first two days focus on skill and rider position, the next two days focus on teaching you how to ride a test.
This is a nontraditional camp. It runs Wednesday through Sunday. The camp starts at Wild at Heart Ranch, where we will spend two days in the saddle working on trail ride skills and safety. On Friday, we move off property to a predetermined destination where we stay with our horses and trail ride the remaining days of the camp. We return to WHR and go our separate ways on Sunday. Who doesn't want to take their horse on a mini vacation? Whether you are a beach fan or love the mountains, we have an option for you. We book the horse stables and people lodging at the retreat area. If you have never hauled your horse long distances Betsy is there to show you how to do so safely. She is also there to support you and keep the whole group safe on this experience of a lifetime. Prices vary depending on location and lodging.
